Banda Aceh — RUMAN ACEH again carried out the 361st Edition of MIBARA (Sunday Reading Together) which took place in the Blang Padang area on Sunday morning. This activity is a routine agenda that is consistently presented as an open literacy space for the community, in an effort to foster interest in reading and strengthen literacy culture in public spaces.

Since 07.30 WIB, people started arriving and took advantage of the cool morning atmosphere to read together. Various groups, from children, teenagers, to adults, seemed enthusiastic about choosing books and enjoying time reading in a comfortable open area.

MIBARA activities are not only a means of reading, but also a forum for positive social interaction. Visitors don't just read, but also share stories, have light discussions, and build good habits in a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere. The presence of volunteers also provides its own color by helping visitors, especially children, to be more interested and close to books.

In this edition, there are special moments that add meaning to the activity. A participant named Ken, who was previously active as a reader on the MIBARA stall, returned with a real contribution. He donated a box of books from his personal collection as a form of support for the literacy movement which he has benefited from.

This donation is a symbol that the habit of reading can foster caring and a spirit of sharing. It is hoped that the donated books will add variety to the reading collection and provide benefits for other visitors, especially children who need access to quality reading.

Apart from that, the warm atmosphere of togetherness was also visible from the interaction between the volunteers and the community who attended. Children seem to enjoy their time reading story books, while adults take advantage of this opportunity to broaden their horizons through the various types of reading available.

Through MIBARA activities, RUMAN ACEH continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing an open, inclusive and sustainable literacy space. It is hoped that this activity will not only become a weekly routine, but will also be able to raise public awareness that reading is an important part of everyday life.

With the spirit of togetherness and contribution from various parties, MIBARA is expected to continue to develop and provide a wider positive impact on society, especially in building a generation that likes to read and has broad insight.
